MLD Manual Lymphatic Drainage (advanced)
Aim is to increase reabsorption of accumulated protein-rich fluid and promote relaxation. Appointment duration approx 45 min – 60 min a session.
Lymphoedema BandagingReduces filtration rate, prevents re-accumulation of evacuated oedema fluid, breaks down deposits of indurated tissue and improves the efficiency of muscle and joint pumps. Bandaging usually follows MLD treatment.

Promotes active range of motion, strength, stretching. Exertion and pace is patient specific and will include diaphragmatic breathing. |
Skin and nail care
The aim is to inform and educate patients in order to decrease the risk of skin and nail infections, awareness of avoiding injury, cleaning injuries immediately and taking immediate action in case of infection.
Self care
Instruction in self bandaging, self MLD as needed and in the various components of CDT with support and follow up visits with your Lymphoedema Therapist.
